First edition of the Ecofisc Symposium

More than 450 people attended on Friday, October 9, 2009, the first international symposium on environmental taxation organised by Bernard Clerfayt, Secretary of State for environmental taxation. The symposium called “Environmental taxation : a driving force for a sustainable growth?” brought some twenty Belgian and foreign experts together to talk about a possible Green Tax Shift in Belgium and the experience of our European neighbours in this field.

The symposium welcomed social and economic actors, NGOs, trade unions and employers, scientific experts and of course the concerned federal and regional administrations and cabinets as well.
